Yanshan University, co-constructed by Hebei Provincial Government, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, is the major university supported by Hebei Province in the development of national first-class university and world first-class disciplines. YSU is a member of the Cooperation Consortium of Beijing High Technology Universities.
